The company

Smederna Sverige AB currently has around 100 employees and in 2018 our total sales amounted to SEK 175 million. At least 300 tonnes of steel pass through Smedernas’ premises in Tumba each month. This makes us the largest forging company in Mälardalen. With production around the clock, specially-trained personnel, CNC controlled machines, our own Tekla department and trained assembly personnel, we are pioneers in the industry.
Since the company began operating in 1991, we have gone from traditional forging for construction to being a state-of-the-art automated manufacturing industry. We invested in a CNC-controlled sawing and drilling system from Kaltenbach along with a CNC-controlled plasma cutter from Messer. The manufacturing area was expanded by 2000 m² in 2014 when we invested in new premises at Skyttbrinksvägen 11.

SECURITY WITH SMEDERNA

We are certified according to: EN 1090-1, EN 1090-2 for EXC 1, 2, 3 and 4 and EN ISO 3834-2, 3 and 4 and are therefore permitted to CE mark our products. This applies to manufacture, supply and assembly of steel constructions and welded profiles. We are also certified according to environmental standard ISO 14001.
